Taxi Service in Lincoln Park, NJ — 24/7 Cabs, Station Rides & Newark from $99
Lincoln Park sits in the north-east corner of Morris County, where the Pequannock and Passaic rivers wind through low meadows and the county line with Passaic is never far away. Before it was Lincoln Park it was Beavertown, and the older name is still how the railway first knew it.
Our base at 512 Logan Drive in Landing is about twenty-four road miles to the west. Lincoln Park is one of our shorter airport runs — around twenty-three miles to Newark — and most of our work here is exactly that.

From Beavertown to Lincoln Park
The railway arrived on 12 September 1870, when the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western extended its Boonton Branch through here. At first it was a freight-only stop called Beavertown; passenger trains began on 14 December 1870, and the depot that stands today was built in 1905.
In 1922 the community separated from Pequannock Township as the borough of Lincoln Park. The station is still in use on NJ Transit’s Montclair–Boonton Line, and it is where most of our weekday Lincoln Park pickups start or end.
A small airport of its own
Few New Jersey boroughs this size have an airfield. Lincoln Park Airport opened in 1938 and is still a privately owned field open to the public, about two nautical miles north of the town centre, used mainly by light aircraft and flight training.
Pilots and students often need a ride to or from the field, and passengers flying in on private aircraft need onward travel. We cover the airfield as readily as the big airports.
Twenty-three miles to Newark
From Lincoln Park to EWR is about 23 miles. We take I-287 or Route 23 to I-80 east, then the Parkway or Route 21 south to the terminals.
- Before 6:00 AM — roughly 35 minutes.
- 7:00 to 9:30 AM — about 55 to 60 minutes on I-80.
- 4:00 to 7:00 PM — an hour, give or take.
Three hours before a domestic flight departing before 9 AM is enough, and three and three-quarters for international.
Rivers and wet ground
Lincoln Park lies low, between the Pequannock and Passaic rivers, and after heavy rain some roads here flood before others in the county. We keep an eye on closures and, if a road is shut, plan the route around it before we set off.
If you know your street is prone to water, tell us when you book so we can suggest a dry meeting point.
