Taxi Service in Morris Township, NJ — Convent Station Cabs & Airport Rides, 24/7
Morris Township is the residential township that lies around the town of Morristown — a separate municipality with its own neighbourhoods, its own campus and its own railway station. Its best-known corner is Convent Station, which took its name, quite literally, from the convent.
Our base at 512 Logan Drive in Landing is about fifteen road miles to the north-west. In Morris Township our work centres on three things: the station, the university and the run to Newark.

The station the Sisters built
The Sisters of Charity founded the Academy of Saint Elizabeth here, and in the 1870s their superior, Mother Mary Xavier Mehegan, persuaded the railroad to stop beside it. The sisters gave the land, and a wooden station house went up in 1876. The present station, in a Renaissance Revival style, was built by the railroad in 1913.
It is still a working stop on NJ Transit’s Morristown Line, and it is the heart of our station work in the township: a car there in the morning so a second car does not sit in the lot all day, and a car waiting in the evening when the train is late or the weather has turned.
Saint Elizabeth University
On 11 September 1899 a college opened on the same campus with six students. It is now Saint Elizabeth University, and it is the oldest college for women in New Jersey and one of the first Catholic colleges in the country to award degrees to women.
A campus next to a station creates its own traffic: students heading to Newark at the end of term, families arriving for move-in and graduation, and visiting speakers who need collecting from the airport. Give us the building on campus rather than just the university name, and tell us how much luggage there is.
Fosterfields and the township’s farm past
Fosterfields Living Historical Farm goes back to the early 1770s, when Jonathan Ogden built a two-storey house on an 80-acre farm. In 1852 it was bought by Joseph Warren Revere, a grandson of Paul Revere, and in 1972 Caroline Foster gave it to the Morris County Park Commission to be kept as a working farm — the first living historical farm in New Jersey, showing farm life as it was around 1920.
School groups and families are the usual visitors, and a drop at the farm with a pickup at an agreed time means nobody has to leave early to fetch the car.

Booking a taxi in Morris Township
Call (973) 306-7075 at any hour. For the station, give us the train. For the university, the building. For home, the street — and whether the address reads Morristown or Convent Station, because many township homes carry a Morristown mailing address.
Regular commuters can set up standing bookings so the car is there without a call each morning.
Morris Township to New York City
Convent Station is on the Morristown Line, and on a weekday the train is usually the right answer. For a late show, a group, or a trip with luggage, direct into Manhattan is from $165 one-way with tolls added at the end.
Early mornings and late trains
Our dispatch never closes. Township life runs on two timetables that rarely line up with buses: the university calendar, with its term-end rush, and the flight schedule at Newark, where the first departures leave before six.
Those are the trips worth arranging the evening before. Tell us the time, and a named driver is on your road before you have finished your coffee.
Local fares around Morris Township
Short rides are quoted flat before you get in: into Morristown, to Madison and Drew, across to Florham Park, up to Morris Plains, or out towards Harding and Mendham.
Why book us instead of a rideshare app
You know the price before the car leaves our base, and it does not rise on graduation weekend. The driver is booked for you specifically rather than matched at random, and understands that a Morristown mailing address may well be a township house on a lane the app has never heard of.
Groups, weddings and occasions
A Sprinter van takes up to twelve — a graduation party, a family to the airport, or wedding guests between a church and a reception. For weddings we work to the timings and arrive early.
Coming home to Morris Township from the airport
Book the return with the outbound trip. With the flight number we track the landing, so a delay keeps the car and the agreed fare.
Our Fleet Includes:
- Luxury sedan — up to three passengers with luggage.
- Executive SUV — up to six passengers, room for extra bags.
- Sprinter van — up to twelve passengers for groups and events.
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicle — available on request when you book.

What Morris Township callers ask us most.
How much is a taxi from Morris Township to Newark Airport?
From $95 one-way in a sedan, confirmed at booking. It is about 22 miles via I-287 and NJ-24 — around 30 to 35 minutes before 6 AM and 55 in the morning peak. Tolls and tax are added at the end.
Can you pick me up at Convent Station?
Yes. Give us the train and we will be there when it arrives; if it runs late, we wait.
Do you run students to and from Saint Elizabeth University?
Yes. Tell us the residence hall or campus building and how many bags there are. Move-in and move-out weekends fill up fast, so reserve as soon as the dates are known.
My address says Morristown. Do you treat it as Morris Township?
Many township homes have a Morristown mailing address. The fare is the same either way; just give us the full street address and we will find it.
How early should I leave for a morning flight?
Three hours before a domestic flight departing before 9 AM, and three and three-quarters for international.
Do you operate twenty-four hours a day?
Yes — any hour, any day, holidays too. In the township most calls are for the pre-dawn Newark run or for someone stepping off an evening train at Convent Station.
Can you take a school group or family to Fosterfields?
Yes. A Sprinter van takes up to twelve. We drop at the farm and come back at a time you agree.
Can I book the return from Newark to Morris Township?
Yes, ideally with the outbound. We track the flight number so a late landing keeps the car and the agreed fare.
How many passengers can you take?
A sedan takes up to three with luggage, an executive SUV up to six, and a Sprinter van up to twelve. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available on request.
Are tolls and tax included?
No. Tolls and tax are added at the end of the trip, and we tell you the toll cost up front. Gratuity is at your discretion.
